A piece of writing that partakes of the nature of both speech and song, and that is usually rhythmical and metaphorical.
It can be either be narrated/sang or read,hence it should have the following characteristics;

Poems tries to express person(s) views, feeling attitudes,mood and opinions towards somebody or something.Its explores areas like:

• Local and international affairs
• culture and tradition
• Religion
• Leaders
• conflicts and Wars
• geographical areas
• etc

Poems are the best way to express your feelings.
